Pat Farrell
Owner |
Pat Farrell was born in Buffalo, NY but
got to Texas as fast as he could. In New York he studied computer science in
high school and college and worked as a manager for Brunswick.
Brunswick had to transfer Pat,
and he asked to be transferred to someplace warm. They thought he meant hot and
transferred him to Texas, leading him eventually to Karen and Alvin Golf & Country
Club.
Pat and Karen then met in college at the University of Houston-Downtown when
they were both tutors in the Writing Lab. It was love at first sight, and the
two were quickly planning marriage, which took place a year after they met.
Pat works at BMC
Software in Houston as a lead information developer when he is not helping
Karen and Carl run the club, working on one of the member's carts, managing Sean's
baseball team, the Texas
Wildcats, or working out with Sean on his pitching and hitting form. He is also a Vice President of Bay Area Baseball Association (BABA) and schedules all BABA tournaments—no small task. In all his tournaments, only one team has complained! A true miracle!
His favorite thing about owning the club is the customers. He likes the people.
